In an effort to know how to pray for you, share with me what you observe to be the spiritual strongholds in your community. What symptoms do you see? What is the source of those symptoms?
For example, in Newcomerstown, I see many people without hope. There is not an abundance of happy people. I think this is a symptom of a spiritual stronghold that suppresses physical and spiritual harvests. People work hard, do not have much to show for their hard work…for various reasons, and lose hope. What about your community?
Also, comment how you are praying about this and how it affects the way you minister to people, if at all.

I believe in our community it would be a couple of things.
#1 is a religious spirit. I can’t tell you how many people that I have come in contact with that “went to church” but the fruit of their life is rotten. It is about deeds and rituals instead of relationship.
#2 would be gambling. There is a big bingo crowd, lotto crowd and I believe that the financial stability in our areas is effected.

Thanks for responding, Joe. I will be praying for God’s Kingdom to be the prominent influence in Byesville. That a religious spirit will be repalced by the Holy Spirit of Acts and that gambling would give way to investing in the Kingdom!
